China Launches Freight Train Service to UK

Trade Route: On 1 January 2017, China launched a rail-freight service from Zhejiang province to London in a bid to strengthen trade ties with Europe. London has become the 15th European city with direct trains from China following the unveiling of the Belt-and-Road initiative in 2013.
